At Mini Rodini we work with the strictest and most extensive certifications on the market like GOTS and GRS. This ensures that the entire production process from raw material to final product is monitored and certified, including working conditions and quality control like color fastness and shrinkage.
100% of the products we made in 2023 were either certified on product level or made out of certified materials. You can read more about it in our 2023 sustainability report.
Almost all of the cotton we use is GOTS-certified. The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is recognized as the world's leading certifying standard for textiles made from organic fibers. For materials and garments to be GOTS certified they need to meet the GOTS standard in both environmental, social, chemical and quality areas and contain at least 95% organic fibers. The GOTS certification covers all phases of production after harvesting like yarn production, processing, manufacturing, packaging and branding.
At Mini Rodini we also use GOTS certified wool which ensures good animal welfare standards and organic farming.
The Organic Content Standard (OCS) is an international certification standard that ensures that the cotton is grown without pesticides and with less consumption of water, compared to conventional cotton. OCS blended requires only 5% organic content which means that OCS is a good alternative certification for products that are blended with other fibers and that are not for example not 100% cotton. The OCS certification program is established and controlled by the industry platform Textile Exchange.
All the recycled polyester we use is GRS-certified. The Global Recycled Standard (GRS) is a certification which reviews recycled materials and the social, environmental, and chemical practices involved in their production, to make sure that the process lives up to their standard. We use GRS for all our polyester and polyamide products, but it can also be applied on other materials like cotton and wool. The GRS certification program is established and controlled by the industry platform Textile Exchange.
At Mini Rodini we only use wool that is certified, either by RWS or by GOTS, to ensure an ethical and environmentally friendly production of wool. This means that the sheep farms have good animal welfare standards and that farmers are working to promote good environmental practices such as land management, and traceability throughout the wool supply chain.
At Mini Rodini, we are on a mission to make sure that every material we use, is not just of the best quality, but also meets our high sustainability standard, from main material all the way to the trims and buttons of our garments. Almost all of our zippers, buttons and trims are OEKO-Tex Standard 100 class 1 certified. Oeko-Tex is an established, global certification system that sets standards for the textile industry to ensure products are free from harmful substances. This means that the products have been thoroughly tested and verified to be free from a comprehensive list of potentially harmful substances.
